Travel Log
Continuing from part 3, we arrived safely to the train station merely 2 minutes behind schedule — impressive after a 6 hour train journey!
Forgive the reflections and behold Amsterdam Centraal! We found our way to the metro and I was both impressed and overwhelmed by the intricacies of how it works. In short: Before you enter or exit any public transport, you need to scan your tickets. For the metro there are gates that prevents entering the entire area unless the proper ticket, travel card, or QR code is scanned.
It’s been a few days since last travel log entry. We’ve spent the time in the Berlin suburbs with my partner’s family, with a selection of expeditions.
Prague Prior to Berlin, we spent a day in Prague. We arrived around noon on Thursday and were immiediately greeted with a warm summer day. We initially walked the wrong direction, only to be greeted by the beauty of the old central station.
After the previous leg of the journey, we ended up in Wien around 30 minutes delayed, which was a significant improvement. After getting somewhat lost to confusion in Wien Hauptbahnhof, we found our way to the hotel to cool down before finding food.
We were all tired and chose a safe and vegan-friendly location for the food, Hans im Glück. We tried their pfefferbusch burger which lived up to its pepper-promising name.
For a while now, I’ve wanted to write more. I was inspired by seeing a friend’s multiple awesome articles in the Norwegian developer news outlet Kode24. While I will not touch upon coding, development, or anything of the sorts in this series, I expect those to be topics for the future.
I don’t believe in foresight or divine intervention. Yet, I woke up in the middle of the night. 02:30 to be precise.
